Sales Manager - German market M/F

Permanent contract - Position based in Costa Rica - San José

We are looking for a Sales Manager for the German and English markets. Its mission extends from establishing itineraries, redesigning them while respecting the client's budgets, rental, invoicing and organization of groups and FIT, as well as assistance in the organization of A to Z of the different circuits.

Responsibilities & missions

As a Sales Manager for the German and English markets, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of internal sales for multiple accounts, working closely with the European sales teams and the local sales team to meet the requirements of our current and potential customers. You will focus on preparing quotes and managing all customer communications.

1. Design and refine group or FIT (Free Independent Traveler) tour itineraries, primarily for German and English-speaking travelers.

  • Conduct surveys to obtain quotes if necessary.

  • Develop programs based on company templates.

  • Use numerical analysis to determine travel prices in accordance with company objectives.

 

2. Management of client correspondence:

  • Handle all client correspondence, including booking confirmations, hotel reservations, room list requests, flight information, payments, and after-sales service.

  • Record all relevant correspondence in the appropriate database or filing system.

 

3. Database management:

  • Use tools to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.

  • Send relevant information to the operations and accounting teams for their knowledge and coordination.

 

4. Information gathering:

  • Obtain necessary information about groups such as flight details, group type/style, welcome sign requirements, and the presence of VIPs or tour leaders.

  • Collect the contact details of VIPs or tour leaders.

 

5. Follow-up process:

  • Acknowledge receipt, record information, update sales records, and report promptly to the operations and accounting teams.

 

6. Hotel confirmation:

  • Follow up in a timely manner and send the hotel confirmation list to the relevant stakeholders.

 

7. Billing and contracts:

  • Generate invoices and contracts for clients based on confirmed details.

  • Track deposit requests and ensure timely billing.

 

8. Emergency procedures:

  • Provide clients with emergency contact numbers and procedures to ensure a smooth experience during their visits.
